Ever since first appearing on our screens back in June 2018, Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser have landed a permanent place in the hearts of Yellowstone fans near and far. It’s undeniable: There’s something so captivating about Beth and Rip, as well as the actors who portray them. And who better to reflect on their impact than some of the Dutton Ranch cast?

In celebration of the new series, Finn Little, Marc Menchaca, and Natalie Alyn Lind sat down with Country Living to dish on their experiences on set and how their lives are better off with friends and fellow castmates like Kelly and Cole.

What’s it like working with Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser?

Finn has been working alongside Kelly and Cole since 2020, when he began filming as Carter for Season 4. At the time, the Australian actor was just 14 years old, with little clue as to how much his life would change by landing a role on such a monumental American series. When asked what he’s learned from Kelly and Cole since embarking on this journey, Finn revealed that it’s less instructional and more lived. “The blessings from Kelly and Cole, I think that all comes more subconsciously; you know, just being in that environment, being around such high-caliber actors,” he explains. “I think you just pick up things after a while.”

Meanwhile, newcomer Natalie Alyn Lind, who plays Oreana Jackson, Finn’s new love interest on Dutton Ranch, can’t get over how lucky she feels to be working not only within the Yellowstone universe (she’s a longtime fan), but alongside iconic women like Kelly and Annette Bening. “I’m learning from the females that I'm surrounding myself with on set—Annette and Kelly are some of the best role models that you could ever have in a working environment, and being able to see the way that they own their power is just inspirational,” she says.

As for Marc, his favorite thing about working with Kelly and Cole is just how easygoing it is. While some people might think that filming the most highly anticipated spinoff in recent history could come with a side of high pressure, Marc mentioned that it was quite the opposite. “For me, it was not at all serious behind the scenes because, one, the dynamic between Cole, J.R. [Villarreal], and I—I think Cole and I being, you know, the elder statesmen of our group, we were heralded by J.R.'s life. So there was a lot of laughter behind the scenes,” he reveals. “And then, Kelly, I love Kelly. Kelly and I met probably 18 years ago, and she's always been just such an incredibly generous and lovely person, and it was good to re-meet and get to work with her—and we're still working more together. I love her.”

All this to say, as much as we love Beth and Rip on Yellowstone and now Dutton Ranch, as it turns out, the actors who play them are just as widely adored in real life. Don’t you just love it when that happens?
