A new study has found that Britain's bathroom habits have become more eco-friendly, with more people using reusable cotton pads, sustainable razors and biodegradable wipes than ever before.

The research, which was conducted by Drench, analysed Google searches for various planet-friendly products over a period of two years. And, brilliantly, they discovered that more of us have become increasingly aware of our environmental impact.

Taking the top spot in the study is reusable cotton pads, followed closely by eco-friendly razors, biodegradable wipes and shampoo bars. Elsewhere in the list, there has also been a surge in the interest for reusable sanitary pads and period cups, too.

"Often as individuals, it may be hard to understand how we can make a noteworthy and positive impact in the environment," Tom Drake, Digital Content Executive at Drench says. "However, our findings have uncovered that the number of Brits trying to introduce more environmentally-friendly practices into their beauty regimes has increased considerably over the past two years – highlighting that even as individuals, you can still have a great impact.

"This is a really positive finding to have uncovered as many people use cotton pads to remove their make-up or apply skincare, on a daily basis."
