Are you already daydreaming of a holiday for next year? Well, the top trending staycation destinations for 2021 have been revealed by the team at Snaptrip – and they're certain to provide some travel inspiration.

In order to uncover where we will be holidaying next year, the team analysed the top UK destinations using their booking data for the past year. From West Sussex to the seaside town of Whitby in North Yorkshire, this year saw Brits swap planes for trains and embrace trips on home turf.

While there is still much uncertainty around travel in 2021, Snaptrip is predicting many of us will seek out unique and off-the-beaten-track stays around the UK.

"This year, many of us have explored parts of the UK we've never been to before which is actually a huge positive, as there are so many wonderful places to visit," Matt Fox, CEO at Snaptrip, says.

"It's no surprise that West Sussex has come out on top this year with its beautiful coastline and acres of woodland to explore; it's a great staycation spot."
