Chocolate-Cinnamon Marble Bread

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 cup chopped semisweet chocolate or chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled, plus 2 teaspoons, divided
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions

    1. Step 1Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8 1/2-by-4 1/2-inch loaf pan; line with parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on long sides. Toss together chocolate chips and 2 teaspoons flour in a bowl.
    2. Step 2Whisk together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt in a second bowl. Whisk together sugar, oil, milk, eggs, and vanilla until smooth in a third bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until combined.
    3. Step 3Transfer half of batter to prepared pan. Stir unsweetened cocoa, cinnamon, and chocolate chips into remaining batter. Transfer chocolate batter to pan. Using a knife, swirl batters together.
    4. Step 4Bake until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean, 60 to 65 minutes. Let cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes, then use overhangs to remove from pan and transfer to rack; cool completely.
