Cajun Cheddar Drop Biscuits

These biscuits are pillowy with loads of spicy flavor.

No folding or forming is required to make these tender drop biscuits. Simply mix the ingredients, spoon them onto a greased baking sheet, and bake. Voila!

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray, for baking sheet and forming biscuits
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour, spooned and leveled
  • 4 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, grated (about 1 cup)
  • 2 tsp. Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Directions

    1. Step 1Preheat oven to 450°F. Lightly grease a large baking sheet. Stir together flour, cheese, and Cajun seasoning in a bowl. Stir in cream. Scoop dough, with a lightly greased 1/3 cup measuring cup, onto prepared baking sheet.
    2. Step 2Bake until cooked through and lightly browned, 10 to 12 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and cool slightly.
