- ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff ‘Marshals’ debuted on March 1.
- The CBS drama stars Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton.
- Country singer Ashley Cooke is making a cameo in the March 8 episode.
Taylor Sheridan’s creations pair perfectly with country music, from Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on 1883 to Lainey Wilson on Yellowstone to the entire Landman soundtrack. Now, country fans have another cameo to look forward to: Ashley Cooke is taking her talents to Yellowstone spinoff, Marshals.
The CBS drama starring Luke Grimes (also a country singer) has already announced that Riley Green will join the cast as Garrett. But first, Ashley will sing one of her songs on the show, which brought in 9.5 million viewers with its first episode.
According to Ashley’s label Big Loud, the singer will perform her ballad “next to you” on the March 8 episode of Marshals. Look for her in a bar scene. Big Loud says, “Her cameo begins with a close-up shot of Cooke singing the soul-stirring track on the bar stage and continues as the scene unfolds.”
You’ll have to tune in to watch how Ashley’s bar scene fits into the show, but CBS reports that the episode will find Kayce embracing his new beginning when “a Marshals op to stop a domestic terror attack lands him in a valley of buried Dutton family skeletons. While confronting his past, he must also learn to ingratiate himself with his new Marshals teammates.”
Ashley released her 9-track project ace in November and just dropped an acoustic “ace sessions” on YouTube. She’s heading overseas for C2C: Country to Country 2026 before continuing as support on Jon Pardi’s Honkytonk Hollywood tour.
