Lainey Wilson drops a bomb in her new documentary: She froze her eggs.

She’s been engaged to Devlin “Duck” Hodges for a year.

They do want children, so she took steps to ensure it happens someday.

Lainey Wilson really hopes to have a baby someday, so she put all of her eggs in a basket, so to speak.

The “Heart Like a Truck” hitmaker touches on the topic of starting a family in her new Netflix documentary, Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool.

"I feel it in my heart that I was called to be a mama, but sometimes, the Lord just has other plans,” Lainey says in the trailer. Then, she appears in a hospital gown, in a hospital bed, with her fiancé Devlin “Duck” Hodges by her side.

“I’m gonna freeze my eggs in April. Put them babies on ice,” she reveals.

It’s an extremely intimate peek at a star we mostly see in the spotlight, rather than through these personal moments. At 33 years old, the country star may feel a need for a plan to fall back on as she navigates her monstrous career, which shows no indication of slowing anytime soon.

According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, egg retrieval (and preservation) would ideally happen before a woman reaches 40 and egg quality declines. Storing the eggs allows time to pause, which makes pregnancy more likely when the time is right.

Lainey’s larger-than-life personality is on showcase in the documentary. Expect her to be vulnerable as she peels back the curtain on her real life, the one fans don’t see. “I think it is important to show people that I don’t have my s—t all together,” she says.

We also see more of Duck, to whom she’s been engaged since last February. If a wedding date has been set, it has not been shared. As Lainey has made apparent, she has been busy.

“I spent a decade being the one you didn’t see coming,” she says, stressing that she is not an overnight success story. “I am putting everything I’ve built on the line to make sure they never forget the name Lainey Wilson.”

Folks aren’t likely to forget her name anytime soon — she’s a repeat Entertainer of the Year winner who was just nominated again, this time for the 2026 ACM Awards (May 17).

In a particularly poignant quotable from the trailer, Lainey nods to her faith in appreciation for her good fortune. “I am thankful for the life that I live. It’s about celebrating what we are given … it is a gift. This is all a gift,” she says.

Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool is streaming on Netflix now.
