January is a great time to be a LEGO collector, as this month typically offers some of the biggest release dates of the whole year—just look at these Valentine's Day collections or Disney favorites. As a toy expert and LEGO lover, I rounded up 11 exciting LEGO deals happening in January if you're looking for a cozy indoor activity.
There's a handful of hidden deals happening right now both at LEGO's website and on Amazon, but don't expect the steeper discounts we saw last month. In fact, nearly all of the really great deals I was seeing before the holidays have disappeared. Since LEGO does make a great winter activity for those nights when you are curled up and cozy, I made sure you can still get one without breaking the bank by finding the absolute best deals happening now. This is one of the best Harry Potter sets I've ever built because I love the oversized foliage that blends well with my actual plant life. Once assembled, the mandrake can be removed from the pot, and you don't even need to worry about ear protection.
Ages 10+
Got a toddler to shop for? This is the best way to get them into LEGO at a young age, while giving them something creative and fun as the winter weather rages outside. The chunky DUPLO bricks are made just for them, and they'll love that it's Peppa.
Ages 2+
Technic builds are some of the trickiest sets to build because they involve a lot of unique bricks that make moving pieces. You've got to line everything up just right—but once you do, things like steering and wheels on this Bugatti will actually work.
Ages 9+
Slated to retire at the end of 2026, this collectible Millennium Falcon is a worthy grab before it hits the pricey resale market. With a special nameplate commemorating the 25th anniversary of A New Hope, this 921-piece set can display your fandom without taking up a ton of space as this version is under 10 inches long.
Ages 18+
Creator 3-in-1 sets are my recent obsession, because you can build it one way, disassemble it, and then use those same bricks to build two other things. This versatile option lets you build a toucan, a tropical fish, or a butterfly.

This is one of LEGO's smaller Wicked sets that was released in 2024 to tie in with the first movie, but it's no less relevant now. This Shiz set has figures of Glinda, Elphaba, and Nessarose on their first day of class.
Stitch's popularity doesn't seem to be waning at all, so if you've got a fan who loves the adorable alien, they'll appreciate this set. The ears and head can be posed, and the flower and ice cream cone are removable.
Ages 9+
This duo of roses for under $10 is a great gift to give a kid, or even to have your kid build for their mom. It's a sweet idea to present them with florals that they can treasure forever.

This whimsical plum blossom is one of my favorite pieces in the botanical collection. I love the vase and plinth with the gold details, but also the twisting branches and buds.
