The latest to hop on the bandwagon? The queen of country music herself, Miss Reba McEntire!
On Thursday, December 11, the 70-year-old singer reflected on the pivotal moment that catapulted her into the country music spotlight.
“In your 20s, someone will ask you to sing the National Anthem at the National Finals Rodeo,” she wrote in the text that overlaid a montage of her career, spanning from the early days to now. “It’s very important that you say yes.”
In the caption of the Reel, Reba continued, “Well, technically I was 19… and it was 51 years ago today!”
The clip—featuring snippets from her time on stage, as well as on Reba, Happy’s Place, and The Voice—gained instant traction, with more than 200,000 fans flocking to it. “I can’t imagine a life without Reba’s voice,” one fan exclaimed. “So thankful that you said yes, and that someone was waiting there in the wings to take you to the races, Coach. The world wouldn’t have been the same if it had never had Reba McEntire,” Team Reba The Voice singer, Jordan Rainer, commented. “We’re ALL so thankful you said YES,” another fan chimed in. “Reba out here reminding us that one ‘yes’ can rewrite your whole life story…” someone else remarked.
