• Megan Moroney is on the road on her just-launched Cloud 9 Tour.
  • She was serious about her rehearsals, perhaps over-preparing with strenuous workouts.
  • The largely sold-out tour has her calendar full until October.

Megan Moroney’s Cloud 9 Tour officially kicked off on May 29, but it wasn’t an easy road to get there. It was pretty grueling, actually.

“I do all my rehearsals in a weighted vest,” the “Medicine” singer revealed to Bobby Bones’s The BobbyCast podcast in an episode leading up to tour rehearsals. That’s because she has learned from past mistakes.

“Sometimes my outfits weigh like 10–15 pounds. And when I’ve done the performance I’m like, ‘Oh s—t. I am not in shape for this,’” Megan further explains. But she doesn’t just run her typical rehearsal in the weighted vest, because that wouldn’t be challenging enough.

“Also singing with a weighted vest on a treadmill,” she adds, plus: “Sauna and cold tub every day.”

Her hard work paid off, because many of the dates on her Cloud 9 Tour are sold out. Megan is well prepared to put on a show fans will be talking about for years to come, and she’ll have no problem carrying around a few extra pounds in rhinestones and poofy tulle.

The 2026 tour run is named after her third studio album, Cloud 9, which came out earlier this year and houses her hit singles “6 Months Later” and “Beautiful Things.” The new project made a big wave when it was released in February, impacting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in its first week. It marks her first No. 1 album to date.

Megan was heavily nominated at last month’s ACM Awards (a whopping nine!), but couldn’t attend due to a previously booked engagement: playing maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding. Fans knew in advance that she wouldn’t be there, and she remarked on Instagram that she was “honored” to be the night’s most nominated artist.

Now that her Cloud 9 Tour is underway, Megan will be busy through early October, with more than 40 shows in big venues like Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Barclays Center in New York City, and back-to-back sold-out shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in August. In September, she and her many pink outfits will venture across the pond for shows in Paris, London, and more.
